What is NewzNozzl?
NewzNozzl takes the top stories from the best social news sites, combines them - and then lets you comment
and Vote for the stories that you think are the best.
We ONLY load the high-rated stories from
each site, so by the time it hits NewzNozzl, you know it's worth looking at! Most of the social
news sites are often thought of as "meta" sites - that is, they take in and amplify what other news
sites have. Nozzl can be thought of a "Meta-Meta" site - we take what other meta news sites think
are worthwhile and amplify just those stories. We actually use the sites we feed from as a pre-filter.
How's Nozzl Different then other news sites?
Like other social news sites, you won't find any editors at Nozzl - our community figures out what's
best, and that's what you'll see on our front page. Unlike most of the other social news sites,
we don't take story submissions - instead, we let the other social news sites discover (through their
community) what's interesting and important. And then we take the very best of those stories and
let our users figure out which of those stories is REALLY interesting and useful. This lets us
show only the very best stories out there, quickly and from a really wide array of sources
How do I add a story to NewzNozzl?
We only load stories from other sites. If you think you've got a story that others
need to know about, submit them to your favorite social news site - if others agree with you, it'll
show up on NewzNozzl quickly!
Why isn't <insert your favorite social new site> being listed?
We're only taking the best of the best - a lot of the newer and more obscure sites have a ton of garbage
on them. As they get better, it's likely we'll take 'em. Think you've got a site we've missed?

Then why are you helping the other sites get stories, with buttons?
We're not in direct competition with the other social news sites (See the "Sites we use" below for the
full list). Actually, we are completely reliant on those sites and their communities finding and
voting on the best stories. As we want to continue to make sure those communities thrive, we allow
our users to submit a story (if it's not originally from there). If you're a active user on those
communities, Nozzl can actually help you submit new stories fast - we've been doing that for a bit now,
and it works great (65 new stories in 2 days on Digg, for example)
When I Tip a story, why isn't it getting the full amount of my Tip?
While we want you to be able to emphasis a story by tipping, we don't want to let a handful of users,
with lot of Nozzl Tokens, be able to really vote up (or down) a story. So we look at how many Tips
you have on a story - the first one will be one vote. Any more will increasing use less votes
(So 20 Tips might end up being 13 votes). So if you do more than a few Tips, it'll end up being
less votes - which means most people will only Tip a lot on a story if they REALLY think it's important.
Which is the point!
How do I get more Nozzl Tokens?
You'll get more Nozzl Tokens by just using NewzNozzl. Vote for stories, comment on stories, and vote on comments. Other users can also give you Tokens. Some things are worth more Tokens - for example,
if you vote on a story that's NOT popular, you'll get a bit more Tokens then voting for a popular story.
